In a viral internet discussion about a guy named Kristopher Zylinski who said that no Female can beat any man, even untrained, no matter how trained, she is, Anna Dempster jumped in and agreed to fight the internet troll Kristopher Zylinski. We were writing about it in this Article.
As a reminder, Kristopher Zylinski said:
“99% of women are too weak and lack the reflexes ro do enough damage to stop 99% of men. Even if they knew BJJ they just don’t have the size or strength to use the holds. It’s dangereous to teach any woman to try and strike or fight a man. Just my 2 cents.”
Mcdojo life page made everything to set a fight between any trained female MMA Pro fighter and the internet troll Kristopher Zylinski. Anna Dempster jumped in willing to show to this guy that her MMA training and her MMA amateur fights are worth much more than Zylinski think. The fight was agreed between both sides and Anna Dempster Female MMA Fighter was supposed to fight Internet troll Kristopher Zylinski on January 6, 2018.
Unfortunately for Anna something went wrong in her training session and she ended up injured. She suffered an eye injury of a torned retina and she won’t be able to fight Kristopher Zylinski.
“Words cannot describe how disappointed I am. During training, I got kneed in the eye ball, partially tearing my retina. Everything is good now, had an emergency opthomology appt and they were able to fix what needed to be fixed. However l, to my dismay, I will not be the one to put that piece of s**t bigot troll in his place. While I am disappointed I am not the one to do the honors. I have full confidence in the sub they have chosen. Plus, now I get to wear a sweet eye patch. P.S. If you have any negative comments, keep them to yourself. No one is more disappointed that myself.”
Anna Dempster Facebook Profile Picture
As we can see this situation really broke Anna’s heart and we wish her a fast recovery from an injury.
As Anna Dempster suffered an eye injury and is not able to take a fight against Kristopher Zylinski any more, Mcdojolife Facebook page decided to look for an urgent replacement for Anna. They’re looking for a Female MMA Fighter replacement of 160 lbs weight to take Anna’s Place.
Mcdojolife still offers $1000 donation for any Female MMA fighter that would like to jump into a match against Kristopher Zylinski. Donation of $1000 will be given regardless of the fight outcome. They also offer to pay for a flight, accomodation and a bonus from Go Fund me.
Bob Sapp was a megastar in Japan and former k-1 and Pride fighter. He announced his retirement in 2014 but he couldn’t stay retired for too long. He was back to the ring in 2015 in new big Japan Promotion RIZIN.
But, what was happening between him and his girlfriend no one knew until his GF decided to speak.
According to Bunshun Weekly Bob Sapp’s girlfriend Akid(39) is living in “terror” for more than 6 years. She gave an interview to Bunshun Weekly saying that Bob Sapp is abusing her from 2011.
The couple met at the end of 2010 as Bob Sapp’s girfriend was working in his promotion company and she was handling his management.
Bob Sapp’s girlfriend said that he started to abuse her from the mid 2011 and that the first time he beat her was on December 10, 2012. She said that he was throwing her around the apartment and beating her and she covered it with pictures below:
After she decided to report everything Bob Sapp even sent her a message:
“oh my baby I’m Sorry
please please please
I love you 100% with everything
I will stop fight”
When she was asked about why she was still with him for 5 more years she said:
“Even if I was beaten by such a big guy, I could not escape for many years, and those who do not know about the actual state of DV will easily say, ‘You should have escaped.’ But just physically and spiritually If you continue to receive violence, you will be robbed of the power to do something.”
In this article, we bring you bodyweight exercises based on Jiu-Jiu movement. They are based on something that you do every day in your BJJ class. No matter if you’re sparring or drilling the movement is there. And that’s the best way to exercise to build your muscles and gain strength and condition.
We can easily say that with these exercises you will “kill two birds with one stone”. You can check the tutorial on doing some of the bodyweight exercises HERE.
Bodyweight Exercises and its benefits
Bodyweight exercises are actually a type of strength training, which helps you build your muscles and rebuild muscle wear that develops while you age or while you’re training.
There’s a lot of studies that show that building muscle mass is great for your heart, lungs, hormone production, blood vessels, brain activity and your health in general. And the special thing about bodyweight exercises is that you don’t need any machines or weights. It’s just you and your muscles against gravity. It’s proven that bodyweight exercises greatly improve your abilities including strength, power, endurance, speed, flexibility, coordination and balance.
Bodyweight Exercises Advantage over Weight Lifting
Bodyweight Exercises are a great choice for people that don’t have the equipment but are interested in Fitness. Although some bodyweight exercises require equipment most of them don’t. So, they’re also great when you’re traveling as you can do them simply anywhere. If you compare bodyweight exercises to weightlifting with bodyweight exercises you’re less likely to hurt yourself due to the absence of weights that your body can’t handle. It’s less likely that you’ll place a strain on your tendons and muscles that you’re not able to deal with.
One of the main advantages is also a fact that Bodyweight exercises work for several muscle groups at once.
Bodyweight Exercises for Jiu-Jitsu and its Benefits
While you’re doing bodyweight exercises there’s most of the time no isolation of one group of muscles which is very important for Jiu Jitsu, BJJ or any other grappling sport. Because in BJJ or Grappling sports your whole body is working all the time. Whatever you do in Jiu Jitsu you’re working with many groups of muscles so bodyweight exercises are perfect to prepare your body for grappling activities. So no matter what type of bodyweight program you choose you are sure that you will work on your agility, cardio, and strength altogether. To make it simple, you will work on everything that is needed for your Jiu-jitsu, BJJ, or any other grappling sport training.
Bodyweight Exercises Based on Jiu Jitsu movement
These types of exercises are simply the best for your Jiu-jitsu training. While you’re building your muscles, muscle endurance, your cardio, your strength or you’re burning fat why wouldn’t you train Jiu-Jitsu at the same time? There’s so much movement in Jiu-Jitsu that you’re doing all the time, so why wouldn’t you combine them in your Bodyweight training routine? There’s simply no reason for that especially if you’re doing all the exercises to be more effective in Jiu Jitsu. That’s why we bring you 21 bodyweight exercises based on Jiu-Jitsu movement. All of these exercises are based on BJJ, grappling and on the way of how you can improve your Grappling while you’re working out.
You can also check out other Bodyweight exercises on a link below so that you can combine them with your other body weight exercises. Do them all and you’ll never be bored and you’ll also improve your Jiu Jitsu as fast as you can.
Flirting might be a bad thing for your gym and can cause you some problems but there are some things strogner than us so there’s nothing wrong there 🙂 And also if you’re training BJJ women will love you anyway and HERE is why. 🙂

Robert Drysdale and Robert Follis were colleagues at the Xtreme Couture Mixed Martial Arts Training Center and Drysdale was affected by Follis’ suicide and he decided to say his thoughts about Robert, coaching, and students.
“I hope this doesn’t sound too harsh. But this is how I feel about it. I had my disagreements with follis, professionally and technically. But beyond that, I always respected him. It was clear that he was a passionate coach that put his heart and soul into improving on his students. Coaching was his life and identity. That’s who he was and he was good and caring coach. Lamenting his death is pointless.
We should have all been more present for him when he was amongst us. A better attitude is to ask ourselves, those who knew him and could have done something to prevent this tragedy, what we could have done differently (myself included). Coaching is a shit job. Students are often ungrateful, entitled and believe they are doing you a favor by asking you to corner or coach them or by showing up at your gym to train. They fail to see that we often put our own lives and families in the back-burner to help advance the career of people who seldom feel like paying a coach is necessary or to show a minimal level of appreciation for dedicating our lives for their betterment. Coaches understand his frustration. It was his way of saying “I’m tired, I’m done, I’m out”.
For the same reason I ceased from coaching MMA and for the same reason i have often thought about quitting jj altogether. I have lost count of how many times students have left my gym and later, after they begin teaching, come back to me and apologize for being so ungrateful and unappreciative since now they know what it is like to run a school and have students.
This job is emotionally exhausting. Ironically, the people who you sacrifice the most for are the ones who demand even more “special treatment and privileges.” Coaches dont owe their students anything. We do it for the joy of watching people we watch grow on the mats (technically and personally) accomplish their dreams. No coach does it for the money. There are better and easier ways of making money in this world. Instead of lamenting what cant be changed, perhaps the martial arts community should pay a little more attention to those who sacrifice their time and energy for the betterment of their students. The people who teach you deserve better.”
Hi folks, I’m David Bista, BJJ Brown Belt, and as I mentioned in some comment that I have Craig Jones DVD I was asked by BJJ World to write an honest review on Craig Jones DVD called Down Under Leg Attacks. So, here it is!
ON SALE HERE: -50%: Craig Jones Down Under Leg Attacks – DVD/DIGITAL Well, after I was watching Craig Jones on ADCC when he submitted Leandro Lo, I was looking around for him and I found out that this guy really has something special. I’m not really that much into buying DVDs from the internet, but I was so impressed with Craig Jones that I had to purchase his DVDs and it was a great thing for my BJJ. So, after a few days of waiting, I got my DVDs from BJJ Fanatics and after the first watching, I was impressed. Really impressed and I’ll explain why so, let’s start.
NEW DVD from Craig Jones – The Z Guard Encyclopedia
The Down Under Leg Attacks package contains 4 DVDs and what I like the most is the fact that Craig Jones is using the most simple “language” to explain to you techniques that will really make a difference. When I say different I really mean the difference in your gameplay as he goes through some stuff I was never thinking about and I’m “catching legs” for like 4 years now.
What I like the most is that from the start of the videos Craig Jones is starting with the simplest techniques and he’s building a leg locking game from there. So if you decide to drill those techniques you won’t have any holes in what you’re doing. He will explain to you a technique and after that, he’ll go with problems you can encounter while doing it. After that, he’s going to counters and recounters and recounters… You will simply be taught what to do when your opponent does something, how to respond to their defense or their attacks, and how to maintain your position of choice.
You will also learn how to escape from leg locking attacks and how to prevent your opponents to get you in a position where they can leg lock you. I won’t even mention all the counters that you will learn as they are fantastic. You’ll learn both offensive and defensive techniques so you know what to watch for in every situation that you can face while going for leg locks or defending them.
Entries to the leg locking positions are also one awesome part of this Package. That was my main reason to buy these DVDs as I’ve read somewhere they’re very good. But I found out everything else is good and on the level that everyone can understand.
Conclusion
I can say that everything is very well structured and that’s exactly what I’m looking for when I watch techniques videos. I believe it’s a huge thing that differs these DVDs from YouTube techniques because you can find many techniques on YouTube, but you can’t find something like this where you will get a chance where you’re able to learn something from start to finish.
With this kind of explaining techniques, it doesn’t matter if you’re training for 6 months or 6 years because there are no parts that you will miss. There are no things that Craig Jones thinks you know so he doesn’t have to explain them to you. You will be taught every technique that Craig Jones decided to talk about and show from A to Z.
If you’re interested in leg locks, then it’s one huge YES and you don’t have to think a second about it. Even if you’re not THAT interested in leg locking these DVDs may help you to understand everything about leg locking in the easiest possible way and, what’s more important, you will learn how to counter anyone going for your legs. Craig Jones really tries to explain the counters and recounters. You’ll admit that there’s nothing better than countering your “boring” leg-locking friend.

We were writing about Rickson’s support of a Convicted Child Molester David W. Arnebeck. David is an owner of 3 martial arts schools and he was sentenced for child molesting of a 15 year old girl back in 2013. It wasn’t his only misdemeanor as, according to court records, David Arnebeck was first convicted of a prostitution-related misdemeanor in Minneapolis in 1996.
David Arnebeck Became a Second Degree Black Belt under Rickson Gracie on February 10, 2015. He is also a member of JJGF (Jiu Jitsu Global Federation) and his schools are affiliated with Rickson Gracie. According to Rickson Gracie Black Belts Rickson knew everything about David Arnebeck’s past, but he still continued to support him. Some of them even called Rickson a fraud for his training with David Arnebeck.
Today, Rickson Gracie decided to break a silence so you can read what he wrote on the JJGF Facebook profile
“This statement is in regards to my association with David Arnebeck. I take full responsibility for allowing Mr. Arnebeck to continue his membership in the JJGF. Considering the final court ruling that he was permitted full unrestricted normal contact with minors, which declares that Mr. Arnebeck was not to be considered as a danger to minors or to society and that I know him, his wife, his daughter and his work as a Jiu Jitsu instructor for fifteen years, I decided not to impose further penalties on Mr. Arnebeck other than those already given by the court. In doing so, I took the personal position that people who demonstrate the will to change and to pay for past mistakes should not be ostracised and excluded from society.”
“However, as of today, the JJGF is adopting a zero tolerance policy towards sexual misconduct. We believe it is necessary to unequivocally condemn any case of sexual misconduct, and Mr. Arnebeck has been expelled from the JJGF. We encourage any member from the Global Jiu Jitsu community to help us to enforce this policy and communicate any wrongdoing they are aware of.”
“I condemn in the strongest words predatory behavior that takes advantage of others. This type of behavior is intolerable and contrary to my life mission and the mission of the JJGF. I am passionate to empower protectors and self-defense through Jiu Jitsu.”
“Gracie Jiu Jitsu, in its purest form, is a system designed to give the weak tools to protect themselves from the strong. Decades after the art’s birth, the Jiu Jitsu Global Federation still believes in this mission.”
“We believe that Jiu Jitsu should be used to empower individuals, and we do not condone any person, group, or organization who would prey upon the vulnerable. We expect our members and supporters to be the best representatives of Jiu Jitsu, and that means upholding standards of morality, standards of character, and standards of ethics.”
“Individuals who would use Jiu Jitsu to do harm or who would put members of our community at risk are not welcome and will not be tolerated.”
“For those of you who work tirelessly to do good for your students and to represent the best ideals of our art, thank you. We need your work continue.”
As we can see Rickson Gracie Expelled David Arnebeck from JJGF (Jiu Jitsu Global Federation), but the main question in this case still remains active. Is this a bit too late and should Rickson strip David’s rank, black list him and make an example out of him? Should Rickson do this much before as he obviously knew everything about David’s conviction and his sexual misdemeanors? And do people like David Arnebeck deserve another chance?
Theodore Roosevelt 1858 – 1919, served as the 26th President of the United States from 1901 to 1909.
The article that appeared in the New York World on March 20, 1902, revealed that President Roosevelt was training Jiu-Jitsu under Professor John J. O’Brien of Boston.
The article notes: “Prof. O’Brien learned the Jiu-Jitsu tricks in Nagasaki, Japan, where he was formerly an inspector of police. He has holds which can be used in all circumstances under which a man may be attacked.”
“Roosevelt hopes soon to be able to break the arms, legs or neck of any Anarchist or thug who may attack him.”
Not much after that president, Theodore Roosevelt trained Jiu-Jitsu under the most notable Japanese Jiu-Jitsu instructor Professor Yoshitsugu Yamashita. The pioneer of Judo in the USYamashita was the first person awarded with a 10th-degree black belt in Kodokan Judo. He was also a direct student on a Judo Legend Jigaro Kano. The interesting part is that Roosevelt was taught the same Jiu-Jitsu that Mitsuyo Maeda was teaching Gracies.
Professor Yoshitsugu Yamashita
According to Yamashita Theodore Rosevelt was training Jiu-Jitsu for 3 years, 3 times per week. He also talked about Roosevelt for the New York Sun on September 27, 1914. He said that Roosevelt was his best student who was very heavy and impetuous and it cost him many bruisings and infinite pains during Theodore’s rushes.
Theodore Roosevelt’s letters to his children
According to Theodore Roosevelt’s letters to his children, we can see that he was training Boxing and Wrestling before he took classes from Jiu Jitsu. And in his letters, he made a comparison between wrestler Grant and Jiu-Jitsu Professor Yamashita. It’s a very interesting read as it’s probably something we know now and Roosevelt was saying that more than a hundred years ago.
The first Theodore’s Letter to his son Sturgis
White House, Jan. 14, 1905.
DEAR STURGIS:
Last year, when I had Professor Yamashita teach me the “Jiudo”—as they seem now to call Jiu-Jitsu—the naval attache here, Commander Takashita, used to come around here and bring a young lad, Kitgaki, who is now entering Annapolis. I used to wrestle with them both. They were very fond of Archie and were very good to him. This Christmas Kitgaki sent from Annapolis a little present to Archie, who wrote to thank him, and Kitgaki sent him a letter back that we like so much that I thought you might enjoy it, as it shows so nice a trait in the Japanese character. It runs as follows:
“My dearest boy:
“I received your nice letter. I thank you ever so much. I am very very glad that you have received my small present.
“I like you very very much. When I have been in Judo room with your father and you, your father was talking to us about the picture of the cavalry officer. At that time, I saw some expression on your face. Another remembering of you is your bravery when you stepped down from a tall chair. The two rememberings can’t leave my head.
“I returned here last Thursday and have plenty lessons, so my work is hard, hard, hard, more than Judo.
“I hope your good health. “I am, “Sincerely yours, “A. KITGAKI.” Isn’t it a nice letter?
Theodore Roosevelt as a young man
The Second Roosevelt’s letter to his children about Wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu
White House, Feb. 24, 1905.
Yesterday afternoon we had Professor Yamashita up here to wrestle with Grant. It was very interesting, but of course, jiu-jitsu and our wrestling are so far apart that it is difficult to make any comparison between them.
Wrestling is simply a sport with rules almost as conventional as those of tennis, while jiu-jitsu is really meant for practice in killing or disabling our adversary. In consequence, Grant did not know what to do except to put Yamashita on his back, and Yamashita was perfectly content to be on his back.
Inside of a minute, Yamashita had choked Grant, and inside of two minutes more he got an elbow hold on him that would have enabled him to break his arm; so that there is no question but that he could have put Grant out. So far this made it evident that the jiu-jitsu man could handle the ordinary wrestler.
But Grant, in the actual wrestling and throwing, was about as good as the Japanese, and he was so much stronger than he evidently hurt and wore out the Japanese. With a little practice in the art, I am sure that one of our big wrestlers or boxers, simply because of his greatly superior strength, would be able to kill any of those Japanese, who though very good men for their inches and pounds are altogether too small to hold their own against big, powerful, quick men who are as well trained.
The third letter from Roosevelt to his Son Ted
White House, April 9, 1904.
DEAR TED:
I am very glad I have been doing this Japanese wrestling, but when I am through with it this time I am not at all sure I shall ever try it again while I am so busy with other work as I am now. Often by the time I get to five o’clock in the afternoon, I will be feeling like a stewed owl, after an eight hours’ grapple with Senators, Congressmen, etc.; then I find the wrestling a trifle too vehement for mere rest.
My right ankle and my left wrist and one thumb and both great toes are swollen sufficiently to more or less impair their usefulness, and I am well mottled with bruises elsewhere. Still, I have made good progress, and since you left they have taught me three new throws that are perfect corkers.
As we can see in Theodore Roosevelts Letters to his children he made a clean statement on Jiu-Jitsu vs Wrestling. He said that Wrestlers are good enough to put any Jiu-Jitsu practitioner on his back but after they land wrestlers will be handled by Jiu-Jitsu practitioners.
Rener Gracie launched a new company named Hero Hoodie. It’s a company that will convert every garment like Hoodie or jacket into a functional backpack.
Rener Gracie’s first invention is Hero Hoodie. It is using Rener’s patent called “QuickFlip technology” which will turn your hoodie into a backpack.

Rener Gracie’s Hero Hoodie Backpack is Perfect For Any Outdoor Activity
The main reasons for this patent and Rener’s invention of Hero Hoodie are the fact that carrying your hoodie around once you’re not wearing it cause you a lot of problems. The most efficient ways till now were to carry your sweatshirt on your waist, over your shoulder or in your hand. All of those ways were problematic as the hoodie would be loose and would fall off when you move.
Rener Gracie was thinking a lot about it and came up with the best way to carry an unworn sweatshirt. He invented a patent and technology that really solve a lot of problems we all experience.
All you have to do is to flip your sweatshirt upside down. And in a few seconds the entire hoodie goes into it self creating a fully functional backpack.
Hero Hoodie on Eve Torres
For instance, if you’re engaging in any outdoor activity the Hero Hoodie is perfect for you. It solves your problems of carrying your sweatshirt once and for all. Either you’re skating, biking, climbing, running… the Hero Hoodie will be tight on your back.
The other impressive thing about Rener’s invention is that it contains extra space for your items. Besides that, you even have hidden pockets inside for your wallet, cellphone, jewelry or any other personal stuff.

The first question about this video is, did a police officer use unnecessary and excessive force to take this woman down? But what else he could do? She was an obvious threat to him in this situation?
After the double leg takedown he went for kimura hold probably to bring her arm behind her back to keep control, detain and handcuff her. We were able to see a lot of videos where cops are having huge problems to detain people on the streets and this could be a good way to do it.
Check out a video where Police Officer is trying to arrest a BJJ Black Belt. It seems like mission impossible to him and it opens up a lot of questions on why Police officers should train Jiu Jitsu.
In the background of the main video scene you can see a woman using self defense groin kick on a cop. It doesn’t end very well for her.
