Garry Tonon def. Dillon Danis via UD at Polaris

Gary Tonon def. Dillon Danis via UD at Polaris. Tonon wins the rematch.

Garry Tonon did it again!

After the slap and fist bump in a friendly manner the match started!

Tonon immediately get on his back while Dilon was trying to pass. Most od the time Danis was in defensive mode against Tonon’s leg locks. But he managed to escape every single time. Garry did hit some nice double leg takedowns while Dillon danis was trying to get some backtakes but he was always missing a bit.

Tonon won via Unonimous Desicion probably because he was much more aggressive then Danis. After all they shook their hands and end it in a real sportsmanship.

Dillon said at the end of the match: I don’t think there’s anything to say. He best me fair and square. He’s a really good grappler. He did what he had to do.

Top Reasons and Warnings That Your BJJ Coach or Instructor “Sucks”

Top reasons and warnings that your instructor sucks

We are all paying for our classes and we deserve the best possible instructors for ourselves. So here are top reasons and warnings for you to change your gym as fast as possible. This can be easily applied to any sport.

1. Your instructor’s lineage is unclear! When you ask your instructor about his belt lineage and you notice that his answers are weird, unclear and he has no real Idea who gave him a belt you should be worried.

2. Your instructor never trained Jiu Jitsu or Martial Art that he’s teaching you. Your instructor is fake and you can spend your time better elsewhere.

3. Your instructor hates “what if” questions. Jiu-Jitsu is a very complex sport and instructors should be happy if you ask them as many questions as you want. Instructors that hates your question are most of the time afraid they won’t know the answer. And if they don’t know the answers on techniques that they’re showing something smells there.

4. Your instructor who doesn’t have any serious injuries never spars with his students. Most of the time he is afraid of losing and he doesn’t want to tap. And most of the time he knows he sucks at Jiu Jitsu and he doesn’t want you to see that. If Helio could roll with his students till he was 90 your instructor can too.

5. Your instructor, without any serious injuries, doesn’t want to roll with people who visit your gym. He is afraid of getting submitted and he’s aware what you will think about him.  The real instructor will roll with anyone as he wants you to accept him the way he is not the way he wants you to think he is.

6. Your instructor is your instructor in the gym and not outside of it. If he thinks that he can control your life and act like you’re “little monkey” it’s a bad habit. Outside of the gym, your instructor should know where is his place.

7. Your instructor is pressuring you to buy promo materials, his DVDs, t-shirts and other stuff that you know he has a profit from. He obviously sees you as easy money and you are there to learn Jiu Jitsu for a monthly fee. You’re not his cash machine.

8. Your instructor spent 1/2 or 3/4 of your Jiu Jitsu class time on body exercises, weight lifting, strength, and conditioning… It’s not that Cardio and strength etc. are bad but you’re there to learn Jiu Jitsu not to exercise. He can arrange special classes for that. Don’t know why, but looks like all fake instructors are more focused on your body than on your knowledge. This is one very common thing for all of them.

9. Your instructor doesn’t encourage competing. It’s ok if you don’t want to go to tournaments. You feel it’s huge pressure for you or you just want to come to class and enjoy. But if you want to compete and your instructor always has some reasons for you not to that is a problem.

10. Your instructor forces you to compete in sports he knows you’re not qualified for. This can happen if you’re training Self Defense Jiu Jitsu or some “Krav Maga” type of Jiu Jitsu and your instructor forces you to compete in BJJ tournaments. Well, you’re smart enough to see what you’re training nobody needs to tell you that.

11. Your instructor acts like a bully. He makes fun of his students, he puts his students down or acts violently while showing techniques. It’s a huge sign of his bad personality. Even if he’s not doing that to you, but to others you don’t want to be near instructors like that. Your turn will come sooner or later.

12. Your instructor discourages cross training in Judo or wrestling or any other sport. We should all do what we want and train what we want.

13. Your instructor reacts violently to the acts of “betrayal” from students. We are all free to train what we want and where we want. You’re paying for your training and for your money, you can train where ever you want. Your instructor does not possess you. It’s better to be a “creonte” then stupid.

14. Your instructor charges you for belts and stripes. Your advancing in knowledge is not something you should pay for. It’s something you earned by your hard work. And you’re paying your monthly fee anyway.

15. Your instructor is dating students. Taking advantage of influence that instructors have in class to date students is a disaster. Anyone can fall in love, but constantly “falling in love” is a huge NO for an instructor.

If your instructor applies to more of these, GTFO of there. As simple as that.

Heroic Mom used her MMA Training to Choke and Hit a Man Who Tried to Abduct Her Kids

Heroic mom chelsi sabbe kids abductor

Chelsi Sabbe, mom in British Columbia, Canada used her MMA training to fight a 35-year-old man who was trying to abduct her children.

The man grabbed one of her children and started running. Chelsi sabbe was running after him and when she finally caught him she jumped on his back and began to choke him until he fell to the ground and released the child.

Sabbe said she used her MMA training to leave the man bruised and bloody. After everything that happened Sabbe was left with just a few bruises.

Sabbe said:

“I hit him in the throat and knocked his feet out from underneath him,” Sabbe said. “I grabbed the five-year-old and put him up on top of the play centre and I jumped up there.”

She said she put six children up high on the playground equipment to keep them safe and began screaming for help, but the man then tried to grab a six-year-old girl.

“He starts throwing punches. He hits me in the face several times. I then knocked him down again off of the playground equipment.”

She says she then put the man in a headlock and told the children to run to safety.

“He jumps up, he again punches me several times in the head and we go at it,” she said. “At this time, it kind of turned nasty. I had to grab him by the hair and knee him in the face a few times, and then he ran away.”

Sabbe, who has mixed martial arts training, suffered bruises on her arm and neck, plus swollen hands from the punches she threw.

“I never expected myself to be able to take down a grown man, and unfortunately you have to get quite physical to do so,” she said. “He was very persistent and it had to get violent. I had no choice but to hurt him and get him on the ground. There was no way I was letting him get away with one of the children.”

In video below you can check Chelsi Sabbe’s heroic story.

Andre Galvao Vs Fake BJJ Black Belt

Galvao vs fake black belt Martin Suarez
This guy’s name is Martin Suarez and he’s black belt in Yudansha.
Yudansha Fighting System was created in 1988 as a system of self defense, it was MMA training long before MMA was popular. It combines training from Jiu-jitsu, Arnis, Kickboxing, Wrestling and Judo to create a well rounded fighter not a specialist at any one.
Here is a match between Martin Suarez And Andre Galvao!

It’s very unclear what Martin Suarez was doing in BJJ black Belt tournament but this is his response when he was asked about it.
“Hey Mike, I am not a black Belt in BJJ, my ranks are as follow, 2 degree black belt in the Yudansha Fighting System, First Degree Black Belt by the Kodokan Judo Institute, Black Belt in Shin Tai Judo and Ju jitsu association,, I hold and Honorary black belt title by Budo Kai International. I have fought in the cage and in the ring , no much nonetheless have experience in the MMA world, I considered myself well rounded Teacher and competitor, Have had the opportunity to train with several BJJ instructors, but I like to keep my rank in my style because that is where I found my love for jujitsu and MMA. I have had the opportunity to compete in several BJJ competitions, however I can tell you form BJJ instructors and my own experience that I considered myself to the level of Brown belt in BJJ, I started my martial arts @ the age of 5 years old, my dad was a Goju Ryu Instructors and since then I have learn several martial arts, including Karate, Judo, Jujitsu, Muay Thai, Kali, and the variations of these, no gi grappling and so on. Thanks for the question.”

Soon after this match against Galvao Martin started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He is brown belt now and you can even find his technique videos on youtube. At least he’s legit now.

Here is his video so you can tell us what you think.

UPDATE: We have another comment from a gym owner who knows Martin Suarez very well. Here it is:
“Please allow me to add to this story. The individual is in fact Martin Suarez. He was at my academy a few years ago. I had to expel him due to many delusional mannerisms. The first day he walked in. I recognized him (from being in the most viral BJJ motivational movie ever by Seth Allison). Since I am a fair person, and we all make mistakes, I welcomed him into my academy.

Within about 6 months of him being there, both myself and my partner started to notice some “odd” behaviors.   Eventually I had no choice to but to kick him out. While at my academy, he managed to get promoted to brown belt in bjj. No, not by myself or my academy. He did in fact get a brown from a very legit Black Belt. I will not mention his name, as he is a team mate of mine from another academy location. In my opinion, he pestered the individual into “testing him” for brown. In his defense, Martin is a pretty tough guy. You have to hand it to him for hanging around the sport after being embarrassed world wide like he has been. Truthfully though, it is more due to his delusions than being humble. The funny part about the technique video you have attached, is that the other guy in the video has also been expelled from my academy for being delusional. He was a blue belt under me. Trust me, the two of them should go open an academy together and call it “you may not believe it, but we do” martial arts. lmao   This sport keeps getting crazier.  Dennis Davidson BJJ Black Belt Ricardo Liborio Lineage”

Jiu Jitsu helps young teen with confidence and self defense.

Jiu Jitsu help teens against bullying

Approximately 1 in 4 youth are affected by bullying during the school year. This negatively impacts millions of people around the world and sadly has taken many lives.

Back in 2015 Naomi Johnson, a young teen was brutally attacked by a group of girls who she considered “friends”. Naomi was knocked unconscious and suffered other physical, and mental injuries. After seeing the video on social media, Ryron and Rener Gracie sought out Naomi and her family to sponsor them for a one-week training experience, so that Naomi and her family could learn self defense and build confidence. Not only did it do just that for Naomi, Eve and Victoria Gracie also helped her learn about setting boundaries.

Every July, the Gracie Bullyproof Summer Camp is offered in Torrance, California along with many other Certified Training Centers around the world. The camp is open to all children ages 6-14 and no experience is necessary.

If you want to learn more about Summer Camp and how the Gracie Bullyproof program can help you and your child, visit www.BullyproofSummerCamp.com.

If you can’t make it to the camp the program is also available online.

Jiu jitsu is a wonderful tool for self defense, discipline and confidence building. This sport allows people to build their confidence in knowing how to defend themselves in potentially dangerous situations. It builds a great team atmosphere and a sense of moral and safety with people you can trust.

Roger Gracie’s Pre Competition Training Routine

Roger Gracies Pre Competition Training Routine

Here is a detailed Roger Gracie’s training routine that he used before match against Marcus Almeida Buchecha.

“The main basis for my training was of course jiu jitsu. I trained jiu jitsu everyday, alternating hard sessions during the day with slightly less intense sessions the following evenings. I always like to focus my training sessions on specific training; I believe this to be one of the most important ways to train and get better by exposing yourself in new ways. So there was a lot of specific training, but no drilling (laughs).
“I trained judo twice a week at the Budokwai as well. I’ve always been a fan of training judo because, as well as obviously improving my stand up game, it helps me build grip strength and it is also a great way to improve your cardio and push hard.
“In terms of physical conditioning, I ran sprints twice a week and lifted weights once a week. This mix seems to be what works best for me, and the physical conditioning is more about making me stronger and fitter for jiu jitsu, not building strength just for the sake of it.”

Demi Lovato – BJJ can Help you with Depression, Anxiety, Stressors…

Demi Lovato about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

The singer and devoted MMA fighter says she has plenty of confidence in the gym, even when she’s soaked in sweat.

Lovato tells SELF.
“I’m pretty confident in my own skin, I’ve run into guys I liked at the gym and they’ll like me if I’m sweaty or not. And if not, they can suck it,”
“I first got into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu because I loved watching people grapple,” Lovato says. “I think it’s really cool to learn something that helps you with self-defense.”

Lovato adds that MMA is a meditative experience for her because she’s constantly looking for ways to attack and defend. She says that the fighting style never gets dull.

“Sometimes I get really bored when I do just an hour of cardio, so sometimes I struggle with boredom,” she explains. “But that’s why I like to train MMA, because it keeps it exciting.”

Demi Lovato also said:

“I work out personally because of the way it makes me feel and the release of serotonin. It’s important to take care of yourself physically but also mentally as well,” she says.
“I would say that if you struggle with depression, anxiety, or any other type of stressors in your life, a really great way to get rid of those is through physical exercise and fitness.”

Teen Choked to Death Mom’s ex Boyfriend

Teen Choked to Death Mom's ex Boyfriend Louis Mox

Luis Moux choked his mother’s 43 years old attacker, Stanley Washington, when he showed up at their apartment in the Bronx and began fighting with her around 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Washington first started squabbling with Louis Moux’s mother, Lorena Sesma, 37, in the hallway of the building before following the woman inside the apartment, where he began beating her.

Moux, who heard the commotion from his bedroom, came running to his mother’s aid and saw Washington on top of her.

According to detectives, the 5-foot-8, 220-pound offensive lineman pulled Washington off of his mother and put him in chokehold, which caused the man to pass out, reported CBS New York.

Louis Mox won’t be charged for murder but for manslaughter as he had no previous charges.
