Tonight, Gary „the Lion Killer“ Tonon made his MMA debut against Richard Corminal (4-4) at One FC. Tonon is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Tom DeBlass and Ricardo Almeida, best known as a No Gi specialist and a leg lock artist.
That being said, the biggest surprise of the fight was his stand up game, as he rocked and knocked down his opponent who was barely saved by the bell at the end of the first round. In round two Tonon showcased a beautiful display of wrestling and position control on the ground, finally closing the deal with some ground’n’pound punches and elbows from the mount the get the TKO victory.
