The 44-year-old Russian fighter was not overly eloquent about the importance of ring girls in sports.

One of the greatest MMA fighters in history Fedor Emelianenko is the last in a series of MMA faces to touch the ring girls theme. It all started at the end of August when Khabib Nurmagomedov said at a press conference that he considered them the most useless people in martial arts and that he absolutely did not see their meaning.

Some of the UFC’s Octagon girls, such as Arianny Celeste, and Russian boxer Angelina Semenova, told the Dagestanian that it was the 21st century and to leave the sexism he was taught in the Dagestani hills, were announced in turn. A few days ago, UFC flies champion Valentine Shevchenko defended the ring girls, explaining that ring girls are a tradition and have been present in martial arts since the beginning.

Fedor Emelianenko is somewhere in between. The ring girls do not pose a particular hindrance to him nor has he expressed an opinion to remove them from the sport, but he has made some remarks on their way of dressing.

” Those girls carry signs and show what the round is. The only thing that needs to be changed is that they should dress more decently, ” Fedor said, and when asked by reporters who asked for a more extensive answer, ” Last Emperor ” said

“I have enough problems and affairs in my team and family so I don’t need to fill my head with that nonsense.”

One of the pioneers and greats of this sport obviously does not see any significance in the discussion about ring girls, and that is how he approached it in his review. Khabib Nurmagomedov raised a lot of dust with his statements, and it seems that in the coming period we will hear the opinions of several other fighters and famous MMA faces.
