After announcing his return to MMA on his Instagram page, the BJJ legend and world champion Andre Galvao posted that he had signed a multiple-fight deal with the Asian promotion One Championship.
Andre Galvao will be competing both in MMA and in submission grappling, we know he will be a force to be reckoned with in any kind of grappling competition but some questions have been raised about his ability to still fight MMA since his last fight was eleven years ago.

An opponent has not been announced for the leader of Atos Jiu-Jitsu but the athlete roster inside of the One Championship organization is filled with very talented up-and-coming fighters.
How are Andre Galvao’s chances looking in the cage?
We also do not know which division he will be competing in, but I think that with Andre Galvao’s massive build, he will most likely be fighting in the light heavyweight or heavyweight divisions.
It is doubtful they will actually put Andre up against the division’s top guys right
away but this still should make for a very exciting fight as though Galvao has not
set foot in the cage for more than a decade he will most definitely cause some
serious problems for anyone on the ground.
As for his striking goes Andre Galvao posted a video training with MMA coach and former fighter Gabriel Miglioli. It seems in the video they are looking to exploit Andre’s explosive wrestling skills to close the distance and take the fight to the ground from the little we can see in the video. However, we are sure they will be keeping their cards close to the vest in order to not give his next opponent too much information.
